TODAY WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE IN THE DR CONGO!!

I went trekking in the middle of the Congolese rainforest (Virunga National Park) to witness the incredible mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. If you can remember about 2 years ago, I did something similar in Uganda, but to be honest, it’s 10X better in the DRC because we were the only ones here in this remote setting. I just can’t believe how human-like they are!

In other positive news, the world population of mountain gorillas has risen from about 600 to over 1,000 in the last decade, moving them from “critically endangered” to just “endangered.”
