I have just arrived in SVALBARD, Northern Norway. It’s the northernmost inhabited place on earth, with more polar bears than residents. In the summer months, like right now, the sun brightens up the sky 24 hours a day, and in the wintertime, it’s exactly the opposite.
I’m here a few days early before our Hurtigruten expedition sailing kicks off to Eastern Greenland and Iceland! Stay tuned for some fascinating stories about the people, culture, wildlife and nature from the Arctic over the coming 2 weeks!
Just curious, how many of you guys have actually heard of Svalbard before?
