Voodoo Grandmas of Hong Kong

This is one of the strangest stories you will hear in a while — the Voodoo Grandmas of Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, you can go under a random bridge in Causeway Bay — one of the busiest areas of the city — to find about a dozen voodoo grandmas over 75 years old.

These grandmas are there to help you get rid of evil voodoo spirits from someone that you hate (i.e. an ex-lover or mean boss). All you have to do is arrive with a photo of their face, and the grandma will beat it down to pieces with a shoe while saying nasty things and then light it on fire. You have to see it to believe it.

Fun fact: I actually did this while filming a pilot for a TV show in Hong Kong in 2015, but unfortunately that never got aired so I am happy to share this story with you today for the first time.
