This story is a little bit of a different from my style, but it’s one that I feel is incredibility necessary to share.
While at a coffee shop in Baghdad, I met a young lady named Aya. We sat down and starting chatting, and she started telling me the most somber and vivid stories about how she managed to survive BOTH the recent wars in Syria and Iraq. I asked for her permission to interview her and share her story, and she was happy to do so because the world needs more empathy for the people of Iraq and Syria.
Aya is one of the strongest, most resilient women I’ve ever met, and I hope you take away something powerful from this video. And realize how good you have it.
Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you guys next week with a more positive story from Iraq.
