Meet Modou, one of the most inspiring people in Senegal!

Nearly every single day, he walks alone in the hot streets of Dakar, dressed in a plastic suit from head to toe.

Why does he do this?

To protest against the severe plastic waste, and urge people to care more for the environment.

He got inspired to do this after serving in the army some 20 years ago. Not only did he protect his fellow citizens, but he also learned about the importance to protect our mother earth.

West Africa, much like other regions of the world (I’m looking at you, South East Asia) have a horrible problem of overconsumption of single-use plastic. Thanks to people like Modou, we can educate the local population about the issues that plastic brings, and force them to alter their lifestyles.
