This young guy named Marco is the 4th generation bouncing noodle master inside of this small restaurant in Hong Kong. He spends his work days bouncing up and down on a thick bamboo stick, smashing piles of dough until they’re ready to be made into the most elastic and bouncy noodles in Hong Kong.
You have to see it to believe it!
Marco tells me that he’s the only person left who knows how to make these bouncing noodles, and he’s not sure that the tradition will be carried on after him.
This is such a remarkable story that I really enjoyed filming, and truth be told, the noodles are AMAZING! If you ever find yourself in Hong Kong, make sure to go to Kwan Kee Bamboo Noodle Shop for lunch!
