WOWOWOW! Have you ever heard of Nan Madol? It’s my favorite place in the Pacific Islands so far (and top 10 site in the world).
Nan Madol is an ancient city built some 2,000+ years ago out of volcanic rock and sea coral on the Eastern shore of Pohnpei island in the country of Micronesia It’s something like Angkor Wat but on the middle of a remote island…
It was a place for royalty gatherings as well as the burial site for the king and queen. I honestly hadn’t heard about it until a week ago when my friend mentioned it to me in Nauru, and I am completely blown away by what I have seen here. My friend and I were we were the ONLY ones around to explore and it is just fascinating.
Have you ever heard of Nan Madol before?
