Syria has been in a constant state of war since 2011, and as a result, an estimated 400,000 lives have been lost, $250 billion of damage has been done, historical monuments and important buildings have been demolished and the economy is struggling to get back on its feet.
But the Syrian people remain strong, and that’s the focus of this video. They are the most resilient people in the world. You can see the hope and desire in each and every one of their eyes to get back to the life they used to live.
Today in Aleppo, I visited several ordinary people who lost their loved ones, their homes and all their belongings. Here are their stories.
I want to send a huge thank you to SOS Chrétiens d’Orient for allowing me to join your program and for your mission to help Syria rebuild and get back to its shining days before the war.
