I FINALLY MADE IT BACK TO INDIA! And I’m beyond excited to take you behind-the-scenes of India over the next 10 days, as we road trip from Kochi to Chennai.
There’s a huge misconception that India is “unsafe” for travelers (especially women travelers), and that is just plain wrong.
I spent 3 months on the Indian subcontinent 4 years ago, and now after being back for just a few days, I am reminded how safe India really is. Everyone is always smiling at you!
You can walk outside at night, alone. You can wander down alleys. You can approach random people (if they don’t approach you first). You can jump in a random taxi. The chances of something bad happening to you are very, very slim. And that’s the biggest takeaway I want you to get.
Have you ever been to India? Do you agree that it’s much safer than the media makes it out to be?
