In 2011, Sudan broke into 2 separate countries. Sudan in the north and South Sudan in the South… They are completely different in every way possible.
I have spent the last 48 hours in Juba, the capital city of South Sudan, and it has been one of the most interesting and eye opening trips of my entire life.
Thankfully, was able to get in touch with some awesome locals through social media and they’ve been showing me around and making sure I’m safe. I say this because South Sudan is not the safest country around Africa — it’s been in a constant state of war since its existence 8 years ago. But things now seem to be much more stable than the past, and the future is bright for this oil rich country in Central/East Africa.
