WOAHHH! I am so impressed by what I experienced today in Syria!
Welcome to the Krak des Chevaliers — it’s considered as the world’s most preserved medieval castle that sits in the South Western region of the country near Homs.
It was built almost exactly 1,000 years ago, and despite being damaged a few years ago in the Syrian Civil War, it remains remarkably in tact. It was a pleasure to explore the ins and outs of this castle today — I was the only tourist here!
The historical landmarks are just one of the MANY reasons why I have fallen in love with this Middle Eastern country. Stay tuned for my last video in Syria tomorrow — I saved the best for last!
