I Just spent 24 hours in the remote Venezuelan island called Chuao, tucked away somewhere on the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Chuao was SO unexpected and beautiful… I am still pinching myself if this was a dream or if it was reality.

In this video, I take you on the journey to discover Chuao — from the pristine, untouched beaches to the friendly, hospitable locals and the world famous cacao (which is soooo delicious!) This island is a paradise unlike any other I’ve seen through 194 countries, and I will absolutely be returning back here in the future.

Honestly speaking, Venezuela is NOT as scary as you’ve heard about on the news – especially when you get outside of Caracas. Yes, there is a devastating economic crisis and massive hyperinflation, but that doesn’t mean that you will get robbed or shot at by walking around on the street. It doesn’t mean that there are no restaurants to eat at or things to do. Life does exist, somewhat normally, in many parts of the country just like here in Chuao.
