In all of my travels, I have never purchased a cow (or even thought of purchasing a cow) — but when my buddy Wode Maya told me that it would be possible on our road trip to Northern Ghana, I was intrigued.
After we spent 3 amazing days in a small village called Funsi, I wanted to provide them with a gift — and instead of money, I was advised that a cow would be more appreciated because it could feed almost every single person in the village.
So we asked around to find a cow farmer, and went on an adventure through the fields to negotiate with a not–so-friendly cow farmer and deliver it back to the village.
It was such a heart-warming moment and I’m so grateful for this experience. More stories to come from the amazing country of GHANA!
