Today, I walked into a random dentist office in Bangkok, without an appointment or health insurance, paid $18 USD (600 Baht) and immediately saw a fantastic dentist, who gave me a deep teeth cleaning for an hour. Completely spotless.
Back home, if I want to see a dentist for the same general teeth cleaning, I must make an appointment 3 months in advance AND pay 6X the price that I just paid in Thailand. For the exact same teeth cleaning!
The topic of this video goes beyond dental work — it’s health care in general. Thailand has one of the best overall health care systems in Asia (highly skilled doctors, incredibly modern hospital facilities, technologies, etc) — and it’s very cheap. Especially if you need to get any medications (prescription or over-the-counter), it’s maybe 10X cheaper than back home.
Many of you are going to bring politics into this video, but I am steering clear of that. I am only making this to introduce you to the world of health care in Thailand because many of you may not realize!
